How much should I expect to spend?
While each client has individual needs for their clients typically invest from $4500 to $8000 and find that this allows them to own all of the images from their wedding and an heirloom album.
what’s your style?
browse though my image galleries and you’ll get a sense of what I do! my style is definitely modern, edgy, fun and yet timeless.
i shoot in a more journalistic style but also feel that there’s a time and a place for a beautifully casual posed images of the bride and groom. i will never stop and try and pose your first look, i will ask you to get dressed over here instead because the light is so much better. i also ask every couple for about an hour of time for just the two of you to create some amazing (slightly posed) images without the pressure of everyone around.
I want to capture who you really are, not who you pretend to be for the camera. I want you to walk by your canvas on the wall and smile, look back at the album in 10 years and see how things are so different and yet all the same!
do you still do posed family shots?
absoultely, i strongly believe that as much as you might not think you want them, they are a very big part of your wedding. they are a record of your family during an important part of your families story, I mean how often do you get all dolled up and have a photographer to make you look amazing! a few weeks before your wedding we meet and go over all the family groupings that you would like for you wedding. i do suggest that you try and keep the list to around 8 groupings to keep the day flowing and everyone happy. i try to keep these groups quick, easy, fun and pretty informal and try to make them as pleasant as possible.
can we give you a shot list of the images we’d like?
i will gladly accept a list for the family groups , i also highly recommend that you ask someone who knows the whole cast of characters to help with the formals, they can make sure that everyone is where they need to be and who belongs in what group. in our meeting about a month before you wedding i love hearing about all the important family and friends who are coming to your day and about any event that has special significants. however working from a list doesn’t allow me to do what i do best and will hinder me from getting you the best images possible. i know there are a lot of shot lists from bridal magazine and they are a great idea but generally i will naturally get all of those images .
where do you live? what’s considered local coverage?
i live in Long Island City, NY which is located in Queens on the East River.. My local coverage is up to 100 miles from Long Island City (11101) or Cherry Hill, NJ (08003)
how long does it take to see our images?
images are available within ten weeks of your wedding date and the digital files are delivered with your album.
do we get to keep the negatives?
yes, every collection that I offer includes the high-resolution digital files (the digital equivalent of negatives). when the files are released to you, we will provide you with a list of resources from which to get quality prints. i do retain the copyright to the images and the right to use them for promotional purposes, competition, professional review, and so on. you will get a written release that will allow you to make unlimited personal reproductions and copies for your friends and families.
what is the online gallery
the online gallery is a private, password protected section on our website where all of your wedding photographs will be placed online for you and your family and friends to view. it is also a secure shopping cart – which allows you (and your family and friends) to order prints and cards and select album prints online. all you have to do is provide the password to anyone who you want to be able to view the images.
do you have insurance?
yes. i am fully insured and can provide your venue with a certificate of insurance if necessary.
can you hold the date for me?
i’m sorry, but we can’t hold the date or pencil you in. to be fair to everyone we can’t “hold” a date without a retainer and a signed contract. we accept bookings on a first come/first served basis
can we pay you part of the amount after the wedding?
I’m sorry, but we do require full payment thirty days before the event.
i have to cancel my wedding. can i have my retainer back?
The retainer fee and all monies paid are non-refundable. the retainer guarantees that we will hold the date exclusively for you and once you’ve signed the contract I do turn down all other commissions for that date.
